THE CHALLENGE

Founded by a world-class explorer and member of NYC’s famed Explorer’s Club, this children’s adventure program takes kids on expeditions to the Arctic Circle, the Dry Tortugas, and – perhaps scariest of all – the wilds of Central Park. The challenge was to put this start-up on the map and gain traction on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

THE SOLUTION

We created a name, logo, website and branding elements that evoked their passion for adventure. Elements reflected Wild Blue’s core DNA: for example, rather than traditional brochures, we devised modular information sheets rolled and tied up in sheaf’s of animal hide, branded (literally) with the Wild Blue logo. We also developed award-winning creative for use on bus shelters, phone kiosks and local parenting magazines.

THE RESULTS

Aside from winning major awards for creativity, the campaign helped successfully introduce Wild Blue to the neighborhood and spurred high volumes of phone inquiries and class sign ups. The program eventually evolved from a stand-alone storefront into a highly successful after-school education program based in top NYC private schools.
